About:
During this case-based presentation, there will be a review of the use and abuse of benzodiazepines and other sedative-hypnotic medications. Following the initial overview, a review of withdrawal syndromes associated with benzodiazepines and less frequently used sedative-hypnotic medications will be covered.
– Describe the clinical utilities, potential problems, and withdrawal syndromes associated with benzodiazepine use.
– Describe how to recognize potential clinical presentations and issues associated with other, less frequently used sedative-hypnotic medications
