Overview
The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing emergency medicine, disaster management, prehospital emergency care, and public health by providing annual continuing medical education conferences and research activities. The EMLRC provides continuing medical education and research activities for the vast community of emergency care providers through multiple technological formats including classroom and distance learning settings.  The EMLRC provides lifesaving education for lifesavers.

In 1990 by the Florida College of Emergency Physicians.

Membership
The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center provides education to over 2,000 of the nation’s emergency care providers each year. In 1995, EMLRC was awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as a sponsor of Continuing Medical Education for Physicians and Nurses.

The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center provides 6 industry leading annual conferences and competitions that provide Continuing Medical Education Credits for attendees. EMLRC's annual conferences and competition include:

      International Disaster Management Conference
        February / Orlando, FL
        The conference reviews recent disasters highlighting incident command
        strategies, lessons learned and medical issues experienced at these events.
        Issues and concerns among disaster personnel are discussed as well as new
        resources for improving local planning, mitigation, response and recovery
        efforts.

      ED Benchmarks: Creating the Efficient ED
        March / Orlando, FL
        The conference emphasizes real world solutions to common ED problems.
        After the conference, attendees are able to implement concrete plans and
        strategies to the problems they face in the ED.

      Bill Shearer International ALS/BLS Competition
        July / Orlando, FL
        Paramedics and EMTs compete at the Bill Shearer International ALS/BLS
        Competition. Teams from around the country and the world compete in this
        exciting and educational Advanced and Basic Life Support Competition.

      ClinCon
        July / Orlando, FL
        ClinCon focuses on the integration of prehospital care research and cutting
        edge clinical practices to meet the needs of all emergency care providers.

      Symposium by the Sea
        August / Varies - Coastal Location in Florida
        Symposium by the Sea is an educational opportunity for the busy emergency
        physician, resident, nurse, PA and allied health professional who demands
        cutting edge information regarding their ever-changing practice environment.
